Dear readers, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve started up a crowdfunding effort at Petridish.org. The project I’m hoping to get funded is an exciting one, with a lot of potential if the hypothesis gets shown to be correct, or even if it gets shown to be incorrect. The title is Toxic Geology: A Cause of Insect Endemism on Cyprus.
There will be posts about the project and its underlying ideas and hypotheses throughout the duration of the campaign. The project page, linked to above, has core summaries. All I ask of you is to help in sharing the project page among your social networks – the more awareness, the better. If you can donate, all the better, but I’m not shrewd enough to make such a demand. You know who your money is going to anyway. Please, don’t hesitate to ask questions for more information.
Below is the (admittedly substandard) Youtube advertising blurb. I have made a new tab at the top, My Research, where all posts relevant to the project and the campaign will be assembled. The Cyprus category has a couple of posts I’ve written about Cyprus.
Thank you very much for any help you can provide, even if it’s just a Facebook or Twitter mention!
