Thanks. It didn't work for the particular database files I needed, but it was pretty surprising to see that there is still stuff left after the formatting :o Ghosts in the drive.

The program will definitely come in handy in the future, so thanks anyway ^^

A program called PhotoRec might let you recover lost files.
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec‎
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhotoRec‎

I've used it many times to retrieve most files from damaged systems. It might even be able to get files from a reformatted disk because it doesn't use the filesystem to do it. It scans the disk at the lowest level and pieces file fragments together painstakingly. Despite its name it recovers more than merely photos.

One important thing -- stop using the disk immediately because every bit of data that gets written to the drive obliterates stuff you might otherwise be able to recover.

Good luck.

Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform you're using? I'm going
to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
